Antique Oak 3-Door Green Man Bookcase

Here is a fabulous circa 1890-1900 antique oak 3-door bookcase with a graceful center bow front door and intricate mythical green man appliqués above each door. The Green Man is a legendary figure often depicted as a face surrounded by or made from leaves, symbolizing nature, rebirth, and the cycle of growth each spring. Found in ancient folklore across Europe, his image appears in medieval churches, carvings, and art—often representing the spirit of the forest and the connection between humanity and the natural world.

With twelve adjustable shelves and all-original glass and hardware, it’s a beautiful example of craftsmanship, perfect for displaying books or antique treasures in style.
